Welcome to crossroad youth!
My name is Randy Gerry and I am the director of student ministries here at Fellowship Church. I am pleased you took time the to look at our page and see what we are all about here at Crossroad Youth. I hope what you find is appealing to you and I look forward to meeting you and your family soon. A little about myself, I am 31 years old and am originally from southern California. I have been in full time ministry for 11 years. I got my start in ministry at a mega church in Virginia, beginning with skateboard outreach. From there I earned my bachelors in Christian education with a major in urban ministry and started working with youth in many different capacity’s. I had the opportunity to work as a youth minister, treatment counselor for at risk and traumatized youth, director at boys and girls club of America, high school counselor, and even my own 501 c nonprofit outreach ministry The Brotherhood. I am pumped to be a part of Crossroad Youth going into my second year here at Fellowship. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please contact me and thank you for your time.
Crossroad Youth is a place where students can freely express themselves and explore their identity in Jesus Christ. Our purpose at Crossroad Youth is to equip students with the tools needed to develop or further engage in a lasting and ever growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Students will find an environment that is safe and judgment free, where they will experience a welcoming atmosphere where all are encouraged to ask questions and talk about life’s struggles.
The vision of Crossroad Youth is to foster Character, Compassion, a heart for service, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, in each of the youth that they can carry on to college or onward into their adult life, all the while relying on the solid relationships that they have established during their time at Crossroad.
Crossroad Youth is for students in 6th through 12th grades. Fellow youth and adult leaders will lend support to each individual student. Students will experience these benefits through relevant and fun service projects, overnight lock ins, retreats, small groups, camps, conferences, teachings of God’s word, meeting outside the four walls and the development of real relationships that each student can take with them into their future.
