Job Summary

The Director of Missions at Fellowship Church oversees all missional activities (domestic and international) within our congregation. This person will lead in developing and executing a culture of service and compassion to those outside of our fellowship. This person should have a love for Christ and people, and is comfortable leading and directing missions and outreach opportunities. They must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills. They must be equipped with a working knowledge of event planning, program management, and communication. They must also be comfortable in transforming big ideas into realistic ministry.

General Responsibilities

  • Work closely with pastor, program staff, and missions team to provide excellence in leadership for missions domestic and international.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Facilitate and manage our current mission programs through training leaders for each missions’ ministry.
  • Communicate effectively with congregation regarding mission and service opportunities. This would include speaking to small groups and being available on Sundays to recruit volunteers and answer questions after worship services. This would involve also informational/inspirational videos about our current mission opportunities and how people can be involved.
  • Plan and implement calendar for missions and outreach opportunities. This would include monthly activities to involve the congregation in missions and service.
  • Maintain all communications for missions and outreach including (but not limited to) church newsletter, church bulletin, website, social media, and local publications.
  • Attend Administrative Board meetings and provide written and oral explanation of missions and outreach opportunities.

Accountability

The Director of Missions and Outreach reports to and is directly supervised by the Pastor. Both are accountable to the Staff Pastor Relations Committee.


This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours a week.

Job Summary

The bookkeeper will manage the accounting activities of the Mother’s day out program, including processing payroll, payment of expenditures, invoicing and maintenance of financial records. This person must have proficiency in Quickbooks Pro, Microsoft word and Excel. High level of trust and strict confidentiality. Organizational and budgeting skills. Integrity and continuous effort to develop skills/knowledge. With a willingness to work flexible hours. Contingent upon background check.

 

General Responsibility

  • Responsible for collecting, processing, depositing , recording the disbursement of the MDO account in accordance with established church policies
  • Review expenditures of MDO funds and monitor correlations to MDO budget guidelines.
  • Enter all banking transactions and maintain accurate and up- to-date computer records of all financial transactions
  • Process account payable and make sure they are paid in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the MDO Board/Finance Chairman in establishing yearly budgets.
  • Prepare approved yearly budget and give monthly updates of the budget verses actual spending to MDO board and Finance Chairman.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the bank account and enter all data in Quick books for pulling reports as needed
  • Process W4’s and payroll for salaried and hourly employees
  • Reporting and preparation of tax information, meeting all IRS requirements, and depositing on a timely basis for all employees.
  • Preparation, review and distribution of W2’s

 

Accountability

The bookkeeper for MDO will work closely with the Director for MDO and the MDO Chairperson. They are accountable to the MDO Finance Chair.

-Mother’s day out assistant director

Job Summary

The assistant director of the MDO will assist in overseeing the day to day operations in the program. They will also be leading the music and bible classes each week. This person should have a love for children and teaching the bible. This person must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills. Contingent upon background check.

 

General Responsibility

  • Work closely with the MDO director and teachers
  • Teach the bible/music class each day
  • Assist with employee management and training
  • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Assist teachers in the classroom as needed
  • Assist teachers with managing behavior problems
  • Maintain rapport with parents
  • Handel tours and registration of new students

 

Accountability

The MDO assistant director reports to and is directly supervised by the MDO director. Both are accountable to the Mother’s Day Out Board

This is a seasonal job August through May, 28 hours a week Monday through Thursday.
