F.U.E.L. Program 2016-17

F.U.E.L. Program 2016-17

The 2016-2017 school year has begun for most of Rutherford County students. This also means it is time to start packing, sorting, and delivering F.U.E.L. bags to the area schools. Food donations are gratefully accepted and needed at Fellowship UMC for the F.U.E.L. Program 2016-17. You can also check out the F.U.E.L. Facebook Page to keep up with the greatest needs real time, and the “Item of the Month.”

Overflowing Wagon

This delivery was made August 10th, 2016 to start our year off with a bang! Thank you!

Some of the needed items are (all items need to be Single Serving Packaged): Paper Bags (Not lunch size, the bigger ones), Tuna Fish Foil Packets, Peanut Butter or Cheese Crackers, Pop Tarts, Granola Bars, Breakfast Bars, Fruit Cups, Fruit Snacks, Juice Boxes (all 100% fruit juice, please), Raisin Boxes, Instant Mac & Cheese, Animal Crackers & Cereal Cups. Currently we are delivering to: Cason Lane Academy, Scales Elementary School, Rockvale Middle School, Rockvale Elementary, and Mid-Cumberland Head Start (preschool).

The F.U.E.L. program is a food subsidization program that was launched back in 2009 at Fellowship UMC. F.U.E.L. provides food bags every Friday, discretely placed in the backpacks of school children. Sadly, these children wouldn’t have food to eat over the weekend without this program. This need is growing exponentially in Rutherford County. Each year, the need for this ministry is becoming more and more necessary.

If your family is in urgent need, contact Fellowship directly for an emergency food box. If you need information on donating items or volunteering within the program, please email Missy at fuel@tnfellowship.com or you can always contact the church directly at 615.893.4659.
